All-On-4 Implant Supported Dentures
All-On-4 Implant Supported Dentures in Overland Park, KS
All-On-4 denture implants is a solution for patients with limited bone mass. All-On-4 denture implants are able to maximize the use of available bone tissue using only four implants. These specific denture implants do not require bone grafting, making them an ideal solution for patients with low bone density. With
dentures supported by implants
, patients receive a minimum of four implants to support a set of full dentures in just one appointment. The major appeal of this procedure is how quickly the implants can be placed so that patients may leave the same day with a set of non-removable denture implants.
Dentures supported by implants offer a number of benefits to traditional dentures:
Minimal recovery time
Lower overall cost
No need for bone grafting
Easy maintenance
Less difficulty eating and speaking
More predictable long term results
Prevention of bone deterioration
Fast procedure
With
denture implants
, the procedure begins when Dr. Ryan applies a numbing agent to reduce pain. The patient is then anaesthetized so that they can sleep comfortably without being disturbed. Then Dr. Ryan drills a hole in the jawbone where the root would be and inserts a titanium implant. This part is repeated as many as four times. Once the denture implants are put in place, a temporary set of teeth is attached for immediate use. As the body heals, the titanium and bone become naturally fused together. It normally takes about 3-4 months for denture implants to fuse with the body. Once the implants have become fully integrated, a permanent set of dentures implants are put in place and held permanently.
Dentures supported by implants have turned out better results in the long term. Because they interact with the jawbone as natural teeth would, bone tissue is stimulated to prevent deterioration. Denture implants are also held firmly in place which makes activities such as eating and speaking much easier.
